Welcome to HouseMyDog.com! Here at HouseMyDog we hand pick and approve every Minder, so here are a couple of tips on how to create an outstanding profile and book as many stays as possible.
Upon completing the sign up process, you will be brought to your Dashboard where you will see a number of alerts with steps you need to complete before your profile can go live.
1. Confirm email address
Simply activate the link in the confirmation email sent to the email address you provided.
2. Activate calendar
Click the “Activate Calendar” button. This will lead you to your virtual calendar, where you can outline your availability.
3. Upload photos!
One of the most important features on your profile will be the photos you include. Photos will give parents an idea of what your home is like and whether it will be a good fit for their pup. Your profile must include at least one picture of yourself and a photo of your property to get approved. However, we recommend you upload multiple pictures of your home and resident dog(s) to give potential parents a real insight into a possible stay.
4. Phone interview
You will need to complete a quick phone interview with a member of the HouseMyDog team before your profile can go live. This is so we can get to know you a little better, find out about your experience with dogs, and answer any questions you may have about HouseMyDog.com.
5. PayPal account set up
Next go to the “About You” page, and then to the “Trust and Verification” section to find the link to set up/verify your PayPal account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, don’t worry! Signing up to PayPal is quick and easy; and if you have any issues, a member of our support team will be happy to help you though the process.

6. Garda vetting
On the “Trust and Verification” page, there are a number of other links to features that will boost your profile’s credibility. One of which is adding a Police Clearance/Garda vetting certificate to your page. You can obtain police clearance certificate by contacting the HouseMyDog Team or by visiting any Garda station.
We recommend you provide at least 3 references from previous experience minding dogs to boost your credibility and make your profile as attractive as possible for potential parents.
8. ID screening
ID screening is another simple step to boost your HouseMyDog profile. All you need to do is scan an official ID – preferably a passport or a driver’s licence – and email it into us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your name and verification type in the subject of the email e.g. “Jane Doe – ID Screening”.
9. Parents reviews
Parent’s reviews another vital feature on your profile to boost your credibility. After every stay parents will be asked to write a review about their pups time with you, and great reviews will instantly make your profile stand out above the rest!
10. Facebook Connect
You can also connect your Facebook profile to your HouseMyDog profile to help us verify your identity.
